Jack Surgent


Jack is the founder of Surgent McCoy CPE, LLC (“Surgent”) and the founder and Managing Member of Gallagher, McDevitt, Schalleur & Surgent, LLC. Surgent is a leader in the field of continuing professional education (“CPE”) for Certified Public Accountants and other financial professionals, and maintains partnerships with nearly all state societies of CPAs and many of the nation’s top accounting firms. GMS Surgent is one of the Delaware Valley’s most prominent full-service certified public accountancy and advisory firms, specializing in taxation, financial planning and due diligence of private placements for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses. Jack is an award-winning discussion leader, having taught more than 2,000 CPE seminars during the past 30 years. Prior to founding both Surgent and GMS Surgent, Jack was a professor of accounting at St. Joseph’s University, and was a tax professional at Arthur Andersen, LLP. Jack holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law, a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Villanova University, and is a CPA.
